How Often Should You Wash Your Makeup Brushes?

With all the craziness in life the last thing you're probably thinkingof is the bacteria, dead skin and dirt that lies within your make up brushes. Truth is, not washing your brushes regularly is horrible for skin and can lead to major breakouts. Not only are you (probably) using dirty makeup brushes most of the time, but you're putting all of that foul stuff onto your face with every use. So, how often should one be cleaning their brushes? Truthfully, if we were all little Ms. Perfect we would be cleaning them daily but we all know chances are that won't be happening. But to keep it real you should be whipping out the soap and getting to work once a week(you can stretch it to every two weeks if you need to *side eye* lol). Normally, Sunday is my clean everything day and for my brushes I like to use Dr. Bronner's Castile Liquid Soap, it's really good for breaking down the dirt and stripping the brushes of anything else that's lingering. After I've washed them I lay them flat on a towel to dry over night and that's it. It's not really a hard task it's just about making time for something that's super important for our skins health, with that being said clean your brushes and your face will thank you later.
